“Gospel-Centered?”

Food for thought, Christians:

When the Magicians documented in Acts 19 began worshipping Jesus, they didn’t incorporate magic back into their new way of living (ie. “Gospel-Centered Magic”). Instead, they left magic behind!

Per the ESV Study Bible, they discarded nearly $6M of materials!

Friends, how is the #Enneagram any different?

History shows that the Enneagram was formed in the occult (Gurdjieff 1916), turned into a Personality-typing system through pseudoscience and spirit contact in 1970 (Ichazo and Naranjo), labeled non-Christian by Rohr and Ebert in 1992, and then re-marketed towards Christians in 2001.

We should all agree that merely calling something “Christian” does not make something Christian. Nor does quoting Scripture redeem it for Christian usage.

The good news God lovingly gives us in His Word is that He is our Redeemer! He redeems liars, gossips, diviners, and more through His work on our behalf. A work only God can do (1 John 1:4)! There’s no greater news!

It’s also important to remember that God doesn’t change…He will not redeem the harmful and rebellious practices which go against His character: lying, gossiping, divination, etc. The Enneagram was created for divination.

Therefore, with all of this in view, are we going to trust God with the responses of others when we leave this “tool” behind? Or will we continue to promote it? As Marcia has said, “The Enneagram is not like meat sacrificed to idols. It is the idol itself.”

“And Elijah came near to all the people and said, ‘How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.’” – 1 Kings 18:21 📕
