On Friday, the disciples fled.
“All his disciples deserted him and ran away.” Mark 14:50
But 3 days later (according to the Jewish Calendar), they were beholding a bodily risen Jesus!
“You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.” Mark 16:6-7
Friends, He is risen!
Just has he had promised!
“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the (Old Testament) Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas (Peter), then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me (Paul).” 1 Corinthians 15:3-8
